Brandon Williams was the best Father you could ask for and a loyal friend. If you knew him you'd know he had a way of bringing an energy with him. Everywhere he went he put a smile on peoples faces, and if he wasn't doing that he was giving you advice, helping you in some way or even if he didn't know what to say he was always a great set of ears. My Mom (Sara Perkins) and my Dad will forever be an example of amazing people whose' situations just spiraled out of control. The last 3 years of Brandon's life, possibly more, he dealt with a terrible bout of depression and didn't know how to handle it, causing him to turn away from family because he felt we weren't there to help. His depression turned into moderate drug use blinding him from reality allowing his depression to worsen. If you knew Brandon you would have never guessed he was depressed or dealt with drug use until these last few months of his life. Brandon worked as a very well respected Union Boilermaker out of Local 60. He traveled all across the US for work, often bringing me home trinkets and little gifts from out of state. While he would work I would stay with my grandma (Connie Gladfelter, who is Brandon's Mom) because my Mom Sara was not able to provide enough money for herself during this time to take care of me. Me and my mom had a great relationship as I would often go over to her sister's place and watch movies with her or just get food and hangout. My mom worked for Spoon River College as a janitor. I would give her rides to and from work and she would help me pay for gas and even with her situation, being as poor as she was she would still give me her last dollars and wouldn't tell me just so I would take it. I cannot describe how much I will miss both of them. There's no words to describe the feeling of losing a best friend let alone a parent at this age. I lost my best friend Hunter Brawdy in 2020 when he was 13 years old due to stage 4 terminal brain cancer, I thought at that time that nothing would beat that level of grief. I am 19 and I've had to mature so much in such a short amount of time, I hope that even if you can't donate to just keep your prayers with our family through this time as we really need it. Brandon passed away due to congestive heart failure and blockage in multiple arteries. My mom Sara had passed away due to an infection in her heart causing a stroke on March 18 of this year. I plan on getting necklaces with their ashes that way I can take them with me everywhere close to my heart.
Thank you very much for your time.
