My name is Melissa Ross and I am creating this GoFundMe for my cousin Summer and her children.

This morning, the family lost a beautiful soul. Summer’s mom passed away after her time in hospice surrounded by family and loved ones and while her passing brings peace to her suffering, it has left a deep heartbreak for everyone who loved her.

Summer has been downstate, staying by her mother’s side and supporting her through her final days. She has shown incredible strength and compassion, but the emotional weight and financial strain have been overwhelming. Everyday she’s been away from home and work has come with real hardship. Between travel, food, missed wages, and simply trying to navigate her grief while supporting her family, the burden has become heavy.

We are creating this GoFundMe to help ease some of that burden. Any donation—no matter how small—will help Summer focus on what truly matters right now: grieving, healing, and being there for her loved ones. Your support means she won’t have to face all of this alone.
