On December 5, our family’s world was turned upside down when my brother-in-law, Chris, was diagnosed with cancer. Throughout the month of December, we learned the devastating truth: it is stage four neuroendocrine cancer. Chris began chemotherapy, but after just one round, complications led to emergency surgery. Tragically, his prognosis is not hopeful.

Chris is no longer able to work. His wife, Maria, has had to leave her job to become his full-time caregiver. Together they are facing not only the emotional weight of this diagnosis, but also the overwhelming financial burden that comes with it.

Chris and Maria are loving parents to two beautiful children…Sofia, who is currently attending the University of Alabama, and their son, John who landed a full time job and now carries some of the financial burden at a young age. These kids mean everything to them, and Chris’s greatest wish is to ensure his family is cared for during this unimaginable time.

This GoFundMe is to help ease the burden on Maria and their children….whether it’s medical bills, daily expenses, travel for treatments, or simply keeping life as stable as possible during the storm they are facing.
