I wanted to do this for my dear friend Mel, who could really use our support right now. Her mother was diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago, and unfortunately, her treatment is no longer working. Not only does this cause an emotional toll on Mel, but a financial one as well. Being self-employed, you don't get sick days, and Mel will be taking more time to be with her family.
