Our Family’s Story

In April 2024, my mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 small cell lung cancer—an aggressive and rapidly growing disease. Since then, she has bravely endured multiple rounds of radiation to her brain and liver, extensive chemotherapy, and alternative treatments. Despite her courage, the cancer has spread to her brain, liver, bones, intestines, stomach, soft tissue, etc.

As of last week, chemotherapy is no longer effective, and further radiation is no longer an option. She has no other options, and being that it is rapidly spreading again, my mother has now been placed on hospice care.

Why We’re Asking for Help

My mother is the heart of our family—the one who has always held us together. This devastating illness has brought not only emotional pain but also financial hardship. Both of my parents live on fixed incomes through SSI, and I have had to leave work to care for her full-time.

We are asking for any assistance you can provide to help us through this difficult time. Your support will go toward easing the financial burden of caregiving and allowing us to focus on cherishing the time we have left with her.
