As many of you know, our precious daughter- Livia- surprised us and was born at just 24 weeks gestation. She will be in the NICU for quite a few months- letting her body grow and get stronger.

Kim has been so blessed to be given the rest of the school year off to care for Livia and balance life at home with 2 toddlers. She will receive pay for 6 weeks, but there will be 14 weeks left unpaid. As a family that lives paycheck to paycheck (largely due to two adoptions in the past 4 years), 14 weeks without pay is a rather large burden.

Doing the math, $6500 is what our family will need to cover Kim's time off. This will solely go toward the weekly/monthly budget in helping to pay for basic needs- bills, groceries, etc...

We are so thankful that Livia's medical bills will be covered and we shouldn't have to worry about that! It's hard being vulnerable and asking for help, but we also know that in times of need God is faithful. Our motto throughout our adoptions and now has been, "Where God guides, He provides!"
