Hoy les escribo para compartir la historia de un hombre verdaderamente excepcional, Armando. Tiene 42 años, es esposo, padre y amigo, y siempre ha sido el primero en ofrecer su ayuda a quienes lo necesitan. Es un momento devastador para la familia y el dolor emocional es indescriptible.

Para empeorar aún más las cosas, la esposa de Armando no ha podido trabajar, dedicando cada momento a cuidarlo. Con las facturas médicas acumulándose, el costo de la atención domiciliaria y la imposibilidad de trabajar, la familia está luchando financieramente en este momento tan difícil.

A Loving Father, Husband, and Friend: A Call for Help

I’m writing today to share the story of a truly remarkable man, Armando. He is a 42-year-old husband, father, and friend who has always been the first to lend a hand to those in need. A hardworking, compassionate, and selfless individual, Armando has spent his life giving to others. Whether it was helping a neighbor with a project, offering a kind word to someone struggling, or providing for his family, his life has been defined by putting others before himself.

But now, after months of unimaginable hardship, Armando and his family need our help.

Nine months ago, Armando was diagnosed with metastatic high-grade poorly differentiated neuroendocrine carcinoma. It was a devastating blow for a man so full of life and love. After starting chemotherapy six months ago, his body began to react in unexpected ways, with his bilirubin levels rising to dangerous levels, preventing him from continuing the treatment. The doctors placed drainage tubes in an attempt to reduce the bilirubin, but sadly, the procedure wasn’t successful.

Just recently, Armando was told that there is nothing more that can be done. He is now receiving hospice care at home, surrounded by his loved ones, trying to make the most of every moment he has left. It’s a devastating time for the family, and the emotional toll is indescribable.

To make matters even harder, Armando’s spouse has been unable to work, dedicating every moment to caring for him. With mounting medical bills, the cost of home care, and the inability to work, the family is struggling financially during this incredibly difficult time.
