Ease Holly's Burden: Alzheimer's and Storm

My name is Stephen and I’m starting this GoFundMe for my mom, Holly. She would be mortified if she knew I was doing this, but it needs to be done.

She has been dealt a bad hand as of late. Caring for a husband whose mind is fading fast from Alzheimer’s disease, learning how to do things in life he normally would do, missing out on time with her grandchildren because Dad can’t/won’t leave the house, and now Hurricane Helene toppled over 8 trees in their yard here in Bluefield, WV. The bill to remove all of the trees and debris has really debilitated her. None of it is covered in their insurance. It has added just another huge burden on her already overflowing plate.

I know life these days is extremely hard, especially financially. That is not lost on me, and so I humbly ask that if you can, please help in any way. Both of my parents were public servants for their entire careers, both educators, and giving, caring people. Mom is the most selfless person I know. If anyone deserves a ‘win,’ it’s her.

I am so thankful she’s my mom and I HATE seeing her go through what she’s having to go through. It breaks my heart. And so this is one of the only ways I can think of to ease her burdens.
