Ease Blue's Worries - Support Tammy and Family

Donation protected
This is the first time I have managed one of these campaigns, and I should have updated this sooner. I am a novice, but I think it is the first time I could actually do it.

To all our family, friends, and those anonymous friends we may never have met who donated funds or kept Blue and all his loved ones in your thoughts, we cannot express the gratitude for all of it. Money is amazingly helpful, but equally so is the outpouring of love and support that has been received.

Mark took his last breath around 9:30pm on Sept 17, 2024. He was surrounded by his wife and children.
He was surrounded by love.
I believe I wrote in my father's obituary that death is the one guarantee in life. Mark loved life and lived every day as fully as he could. He was a man with faults like any and all of us. And also one with a giving heart. He welcomed many into his home when they needed shelter with no hesitation. Food if someone was hungry. He would help family and friends. And friends of friends.
All of you who gave love, support, financial assistance, well, you all mirrored his spirit.

Some of the funds were put towards his services. The remainder was to help support Tammy, now a single mom and sole provider to the two youngest that are still at home.

The words "Thank You" don't feel like enough. It's difficult to convey the depth of gratitude our family has for all that each of you has given, and continues to give and show support in any and all ways.

Much love to you all.

Hello all -
My brother Blue (Mark) has a last request.

He has been fighting esophageal cancer since first diagnosed in early 2020, right before Covid hit. He had radiation, chemo and major surgery, which initially seemed successful. There were many surgeries after for the stent and a non-cancerous tumor on his brain.
The cancer decided to rear its ugly head again two years after initially found.
Then started more chemo, a trip to MD Anderson for a second opinion and potential options. Immunotherapy. More chemo.
He has put up one hell of a fight. It has come to the point where there is nothing more to be done. Hospice and comfort care has been initiated.
In his final days here on earth, his biggest worry is his wife and family. He’s been disabled a majority of his life. He’s worked as much as possible in later years, but especially recently was not physically able to do so.
Any funds raised will go to his wife Tammy to catch up on bills they’ve fallen behind on due to his illness and inability to work, expenses for his send-off, and future household support. He has touched thousands of lives in his 55 years on this earth, so many showing their love daily as he lives out his final days.
Thank you in advance. Any help is appreciated, even if it is just to share this post to all you can. Hoping this can alleviate some of the worry and stress he feels for his wife and children in his last days. Wishing them to be peaceful and surrounded with love.
