Help Raise Earthseed Ecovillage's Common House

Earthseed Ecovillage is on a mission to explore routes to regenerative and affordable co-living, healthy transformative relationships, cooperative self-employment, and scalable consensual self-governance through intentional community. Our next step is to create the hearth and hub of our communal infrastructure: the first two common houses nearby Earthseed's enchanted central brook in the heart of the valley. These permaculture-inspired structures will form the core of our initial neighborhood, enable us to host more visitors and villagers, offering communal spaces with a shared water supply system that can handle an influx of humans and grow more food. We've got the water system plans, permits, and excavator. To get started, we are asking for your help to drill the common well and build the two septic systems.

With this infrastructure in place, we will be better able to assemble the founding core group of residents that will help launch the ecovillage. The common houses will also help visitors more comfortably deepen their relationship with this enchanted healing place, experience the world-changing potential of the permaculture ecovillage movement, and maybe build their new home and chosen family. These common houses will also accelerate the growth of our farm, food forests, worker cooperatives, and other rejuvenating services, allowing us to provide rewarding work on-site for more of our residents more of the time.
The world around us is going through major upheavals. We are forgetting how to live together despite our differences, isolated in separate nuclear families, struggling to meet our basic needs within a psychopathic system that few trust anymore. The status quo is causing unspeakable harm to the Earth's children and ecosystems. Many of us work draining jobs, decompress in isolation, endlessly scrolling in search of something more. We live out the individualistic capitalist culture... And yet, WE HAVE A CHOICE!

Living in community, intentionally connecting with neighbors, raising our children together in open dialogue, caring for our precious environment inside and out, growing food that heals, sharing meals, co-creating fair caring businesses, while nurturing local, bioregional, and global alliances that empower us all ~ there is immense potential in real community and a shared commitment to respond to this historic moment we find ourselves in from a united front. We don't have to do things alone.
Earthseed Ecovillage is striving to become a stable headquarters for the ecovillage movement on this continent; a community that helps launch other intentional communities; an experimental center for consciously designed culture and governance systems in alliance with the Global Ecovillage Network, the Federation for Intentional Communities, the People's Project, and the Tamera Peace Research Center to name a few. We hope to model a joyful and sustainable form of activism that rejuvenates and empowers everyone involved. We are starting our 4th year of working and living on these 430 acres with a few humans onsite full time. We are abundant in social and natural resources, though low on cash. We are hoping to avoid traditional construction loans and are seeking funds through a mix of crowd-funding, solidarity-loans, and investments. Anyone who contributes at this stage of our development will be considered an honored contributing member and extended every form of gratitude and reciprocation we can manage as we increase our capacity to care for our network of supporters on and off the land.

It is time to take a stand together for a better future. Are you willing to make a contribution now and help us build the first common houses at Earthseed Ecovillage?
