Riding for Regeneration: $250 Per Mile Goal
Hey friends and family,
This August 24th, the three of us — Jarrod, Riley, and Ben — are riding 100 miles through Denver to raise money for something we deeply believe in: the Earth Regeneration Alliance (ERA) — an organization focused on creating a new economic and governance model that empowers communities to care for their land, food, and future.
What is ERA?
ERA is building a new system — one designed to support life instead of extract from it.
Our economic and legal systems weren’t made to care for the Earth. That’s why our ecosystems, communities, and cultures are suffering. ERA is creating a structure to change that.
Think of it like this:
- ERA helps bioregions steward and regenerate their land, food systems, and local economies — from the ground up.
- It functions like nature — interconnected, self-renewing, and rooted in reciprocity.
- And it’s built through real-world tools: legal infrastructure, financial investment, land stewardship, and community wisdom.
Why We’re Riding
This ride is our way of showing up — with our bodies and hearts — for the Earth.
It’s not just about endurance. It’s about commitment. Commitment to a different future. To community-driven change. To a living planet for future generations.
We’ve spent the past year and a half building ERA’s foundation, and our co-steward Mandy has spent the last decade preparing the ground for this work. Now we’re ready to bring it to life — and this ride marks a pivotal step.
Our Goal: $250 Per Mile
We’ve set a goal of raising $250 per mile, which gets us to $25,000 total. This will directly support our core team and help us begin building the infrastructure needed to raise our full annual operating budget of $316k.
Reaching this goal gets us to the starting line of ERA’s larger capital raise — the step that will allow ERA to impact communities across the country and across the world.
How You Can Support
We’re inviting you to donate based on how much you’d like to give per mile:
- $0.50/mile = $50
- $1/mile = $100
- $2/mile = $200
- $5/mile = $500
(or any amount that feels right)
Every single contribution matters. If the story speaks to you, please donate, share, or connect us with someone who might want to help.
This isn’t a short-term project. ERA is built to last. It’s structured as a Purpose Trust — a living legal container that protects the mission forever. It can never be sold or co-opted — it exists solely to serve life, for generations to come.
We are currently in the process of filing for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, but please note: gifts for this ride are not tax-deductible. We want to be transparent with our community as we grow, and your support at this early stage means the world.

Let’s ride.
Let’s regenerate.
With gratitude,
Jarrod, Riley & Ben
