Eagle Scout Project-Kingsbury School-Oxford, MI
Donation protected
UPDATE: Thank you to all that have contributed thus far to my Eagle Scout Project. I am happy to communicate that I am very close to reaching my original goal because of an awarded grant and a very generous donation made outside of Go Fund Me. Just a bit more to go!
Hi, my name is Andrew, a Boy Scout from Troop 366 from Oxford, MI.
I am currently working on my Eagle Scout project. I have chosen Kingsbury School in Oxford, MI as my beneficiary. The project that I have chosen to build is a boardwalk to create access to a portion of the school's property that is not currently accessible for the ESP program.
ESP is Kingsbury's outdoor environmental science program where students learn about the outdoors, observing and exploring nature and other in-depth environmental topics.
This boardwalk will create access to an unused area of the property to further enhance educational opportunities. The goal will be to install an elevated 60 feet plus boardwalk using Timber Tech decking material over a pressure treated frame and steel post. My funding goal includes the composite decking solution, which will allow Kingsbury many years of worry- free maintenance. Upon raising enough funding, the project will commence late spring/early summer 2024 for use when the students return to school in the Fall of 2024. Any excess funds raised will be donated back to Kingsbury's ESP program.
I greatly appreciate your support!
