I'm working with the Wild Bird Fund to plant trees and other greenery along Columbus Avenue from 86th to 89th Street, as well as building a low-profile storage/shelving system inside their facilities to assist with bird carrier storage and supply management.

The four tree pits I will be planting in currently have stumps in them, so the planting process will be tedious. With volunteers from my troop, I will have to dig out the stones inside the pits, hire a contractor to grind out the stumps, and then refill the pits with new soil before any plants come in. I would like to fill them with trees, shrubs, and flowers and am planning on completing all of this by the first week of April.
