Eagle Scout Project Troop 996
Donation protected
Thank you for coming to my gofundme page to help me raise money for my Eagle Scout Project. My name is Mark Sentner, and I am a Life Scout of Troop 996 and a Senior at West Potomac High School. I've been on an adventure with The Boy Scouts of America since 1st Grade to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. To earn the rank of Eagle Scout I must plan and complete a service project that benefits the community. When thinking about my project ideas, I quickly thought of Heritage Presbyterian Church. On the Church property they have a trail called “The Living Cathedral”, that cuts through 3 acres of woods that since 1st grade I would always walk through on my way to and home during the school year. Unfortunately, over the past several years the trail has become overgrown with brush and there are fallen trees along the path. I thought it would be a great idea to refurbish the trail, and add some benches near their Memorial Garden as a way of giving back to the church.
On November 10th and 17th, I will be building 2 benches and refurbishing the entire trail at Heritage Presbyterian Church to complete my Eagle Scout Project. All funds raised will be used to buy all materials to renovate the trail. I have received the wood by a donation from Stella Jones Corporation to build the benches, and any leftover funds will go to church. Your donation is greatly appreciated. Any contribution helps.
