My name is Sam Patton, and I am a Boy Scout who aims to complete a service project to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. I've been in scouting for 10 years, and both my father, uncle, and grandfather achieved the Eagle Scout rank: the highest rank possible. Scouting has helped my family, and now myself, grow into strong leaders with strong morals, and the culmination of this growth is the Eagle Scout Project. Your contribution will help fund a project I am planning, organizing, and directing- the last step of my Scouting journey.
My project will be building an outdoor chapel and fire ring for Southwest Christian Church. The chapel will consist of 6 benches, a podium, and a cross all made out of pressure-treated lumber. Designed for strength against the elements, this chapel will remain standing for years, serving as a valuable addition to the church's facility.
As a member of the Southwest Christian Church youth group I have witnessed firsthand how useful an outdoor space would be, and as an avid camper I know the value of a good fire. A campfire is a serene, calming background to a cool evening that can be filled with friends and fellowship in Christ, and a permanent installment will not only provide ease and comfort for any groups using the chapel, but it will also provide safety and security from some of the dangers that come with a fire ring. This chapel will not be limited for use only by the youth group; it will also be handy for any of SWCC's small groups or children's ministries.
My goal is to raise $2,000 by July 18th, 2021 to provide this installment to the church at no cost. Please help this mission by donating whatever you can and sharing this link with your friends, family, and coworkers.
Thank you for your support!
