Eagle Scout Project: Relaxation at Brookmeade

Hello! My name is Alyssa VanPelt. I am a life scout trying to complete my Eagle rank. To do so, I must complete a project that benefits a non-profit organization, such as The Brookmeade Community!

The Brookmeade Community is a non-profit senior living and nursing home. I have planned out to build two raised herb boxes so the residents may enjoy easily accessible gardening. There will be benches and trees planted at the facility so they may enjoy being outside with family and friends. 

I would like to begin purchasing materials for my project in early May and installing all parts of the project by the beginning of June. The funds will be used towards purchasing bench kits, the raised herb boxes, tree saplings, herbs for the boxes, tools, and soil. 

When this project is completed, the residents will have a lovely outdoor space to make their time at Brookmeade even more enjoyable. The benches and trees will provide more opportunity to visit with friends and family outdoors.
