Eagle Scout Project: OneHope Bench
Donation protected
My name is Liam Murphy, and I am a Life Scout with Omaha Troop 558. The pinnacle of a scout’s journey is their Eagle Scout rank, and I am here asking for your help to help me reach my peak. While working for this rank, I am tasked with planning, leading, and carrying out a project that will benefit the community. In order to make this project a reality I need your help.
My project consists of tearing down an existing bench at One Hope Church in Benson, right across from Rose Hill Elementary school. After the existing bench and brickwork below it have been torn down, I will be leading scouts in laying a concrete patio and installing three new wooden benches where the old bench used to be. This will benefit the church, as the existing bench is faulty and used very little, and the upgrade will allow the existing garden to be more readily enjoyed, and be somewhere for people to be able to spend time in.
This project also will benefit the community, as OneHope Benson church hosts annual block parties for the kids at Rose Hill and the surrounding neighborhoods. Having usable benches will allow that area to be better suitable for social gatherings and like occasions.
To help this project become a reality, I am asking for your help. Our fundraising goal for this project is $1,800. This will cover resource and equipment costs from bench frames, to cement, to the cost of renting possibly machinery. Non-monetary donations, whether discounted or free equipment rentals or resource supplyment is also welcome. Any funds raised over needed amount will be donated to the church for further outreach opportunities for the community.

Thank you for your time, and thank you so much for your help!
