Eagle Scout Project - Hiking Trail Addition

Hello my name is Harrison Diedrich, I am a 14 year old Life Scout with local Boy Scout Troop 61 and resident of the River Hills Community in Valrico, Florida.

  For my Eagle Scout project I elected to give back to the River Hills community by building a 40’ long, 4’ wide boardwalk over the swampy passageway on the blue trail just past the “stump jumper” location.  Trail is located in a 250 acre nature preserve.  The bridge will allow for continued use of the trail through the rainy season when the area is usually swampy.  

  I will secure all the needed construction materials and the labor will be provided by volunteers of my troop, Troop 61.   I am seeking donations from family, friends and community members to assist in covering construction material costs. If you would be so generous please consider donating as the estimated construction cost is $1,500. Any donations received in excess of $1,500 will be donated to the River Hills Trails foundation for future projects in the 250 acre nature preserve.

 With these generous donations of time and funding we will be able to complete the project before the 1st of May 2022.
