Hi, my name is Capri and I am fundraising for my Eagle Scout Project at Xenophon Therapeutic Riding Center (TRC) in Orinda, California. Xenophon TRC is a non-profit organization that connects humans with horses. They assist people with special needs, veterans, and others. I think these are important causes that deserve support, and this is a project that could directly and meaningfully help them.

I have been a Scout for 5 years now and I am so close to achieving Eagle Scout. For my Eagle Scout Project, I redid the flooring for a paddock (about 600 square feet) for one of the horses. This was in huge need since during the winter season, the horse would sink into mud. The gravel couldn't drain all the water that was accumulating over time. I installed a drainage system, called Lighthoof, and compacted the new gravel.

This project took lots of time, energy, and supplies while also needing my community to help install it with me. I had to buy 10 cubic yards of gravel, Lighthoof panels (which weren't cheap!), weed-barrier fabric, various construction supplies (zip ties, gloves, safety goggles, hammers, etc.), and lunch/snacks for the helpers. I also had to rent a Plate Compactor from Home Depot to solidify the gravel. The work was completed in about 10 hours during the November 4/5, 2023 weekend; the photo shows me after we finished. The owners of Xenophon TRC were very happy with the results and said that this was exactly what they wanted.

I now need to rely on my community again to help support the cost of this project. Your support would be greatly appreciated and would allow me to reach my goal of Eagle Scout before I turn 18 (the deadline). Donations of any amount would be welcome!
