My name is Colin Tornow and I am a Scouting America Eagle Scout candidate for Scouts BSA Troop 159 in Hewitt, New Jersey. My Eagle Scout project is building and installing six (6) rustic wood benches for The New Weis Center for Education, Arts & Recreation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Ringwood, New Jersey. In addition to constructing the benches, the project includes site preparation (rake, weed, wood chip) and invasive species removal. This project will benefit the surrounding communities by providing additional seating for education programs, scout activities, and public programs. The money from this fundraiser will be put towards purchasing the lumber and materials needed to create the benches, as well as supplies and refreshments for volunteers who will assist with the project. Any extra funds will be donated to The New Weis Center to use for future scout projects. Thank you in advance for your support of my project and my scouting journey.
