Eagle Scout Project - BEACON of HOPE

My name is David John, and I am a Life Scout with BSA Scout Troop 106 in Lakeland, FL. I am in the process of completing the requirements to earn Eagle Scout.

For my Eagle Scout project, I have chosen to raise money to purchase 50 Guardian Angel Micro Series Infrared Safety Lights (beacons) and beacon uniform mounts for the Polk County Sheriff's K9 Deputies. These beacons emit infrared light that can only be seen with night vision equipment and are used to track law enforcement officers involved in foot pursuits, monitoring police K9s operating off-lead, as well as assisting with the recovery of an injured deputy.

The Benefactor of this Eagle Project is Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
