Bonfield Elementary Gaga Pit Eagle Scout Project
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ryker, a Life Scout in Troop 44. I am completing an Eagle Scout project at Bonfield Elementary. With the help of my fellow scouts, I would like to build a gaga pit for the students to enjoy during recess. I have a few family friends who attend Bonfield and wish that they had a gaga pit at their school. Through conversations with Mrs. Balsbaugh, the principal at Bonfield, she confirmed that it'd be a very nice addition. I feel that the gaga pit would get a high amount of use due to how many kids like gaga ball, and there are also many health benefits to playing gaga ball. Through estimates from the company, Coach Cliff's Gaga Ball Pits, for a 30-inch high pit, I have figured out that I need to raise approximately $7,000. This may sound like a very high amount, but the school requires that the pit is made out of composite wood for insurance reasons. Along with that, I intend to add rubber mats for safety and to make sure that the pit doesn't get muddy. I also want to raise enough money to be able to make it ADA accessible, allowing all students to be able to enjoy the fun. Any extra funds raised will be donated to the school. My goal is to have the project completed by the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year.
