Eagle Project-Garden steps at FSSTC - $400 goal

Hi, my name is Thomas Parente and I am working on my Eagle Project. The beneficiary for this project is the Fairfax Station Swim and Tennis Club, a nonprofit club (501c7).

My project will involve the building of garden stairs from the back entrance of the tennis court to the sidewalk at top of the hill on Robert Carter Road. This area has a trail that was created by members heading to and from the pool and tennis courts over many years. This is hill is steep and slippery and over time has experienced significant erosion.

The stairs will make this trail safer and more convenient, while also preventing further erosion and reducing the impact of invasive vegetation.

The garden stairs I plan to install will be made of pressure treated wood and filled with gravel. This fundraiser will be used to source these materials. All labor will be provided by Scout Troop 1865.
