My name is Helen Perry, I am a 17 year old Scout from Troop 1 Mill Valley.

My Eagle Project will be a renovation of the Old Mill Park amphitheater. This area is incredibly popular; used for weddings, library activities, plays and shows, and even some Troop 1 events. The work will consist of renewing the benches, fixing the stairs, and filling the area with wood chips.

The City of Mill Valley is providing new benches for FREE from a pair of deceased Redwood Trees on Miller Ave - see here: https://www.cityofmillvalley.org/civicalerts.aspx?aid=1095

However, much of the existing support structure is rotten and needs replacing. The City agreed that I could proceed with the project provided that I raise the money for anything else. More than 90% of the expenses of the project consists of materials used to do the repair work and replacement steps (lumber, fasteners, rebar, wood stain etc). This accounts for the target amount.

To be able to renovate a space so highly valued by the community is an honor, and I need your help to do this task justice. Please donate whatever you can, even small amounts will make a big impact.
