Eagle Project: Parking Lot Repair & Re-striping

Tax deductible
Hi! My name is Ray Quigley. I am a Life Scout from Boy Scout Troop 904 in Chicago.  I am currently working towards the rank of Eagle Scout. One of the requirements to reach the rank of Eagle Scout is to plan, develop, and lead others in a service project that is beneficial to a religious institution, school, or the community. For my Eagle Project I plan to repair and re-stripe the parking lot at St. Edward Parish.

I will be working on my Eagle Scout Project in August 2019. I will be leading a team of helpers consisting of many scouts from troop 904 and a few adults. I will need to rent a backpack blower, asphalt tamper, and striper for the project. I will also need to buy asphalt mix, striping paint, handicap parking stencils, tape, and chalk line for the project. I will use backpack blower to clean out the parking lot. Then I will use the asphalt mix to fill in the holes in the parking lot and then tamp it down. Later, once the asphalt has dried, I will mark up the parking lot lines and paint the lines with the striper. To finish the project, I will use stencils to re-paint  the handicapped symbols in the parking lot and the "no parking" signs in front of the priests’ garage.

I appreciate your donation to make this project possible. Any amount you donate will help me reach my goal. Thank you, have a wonderful day.
