Eagle Project - FPC Berkeley Adirondack Chairs
Donation protected
My name is Lenny Gustavson, and I am a member of troop 6 in Piedmont, CA. I currently live in Oakland and have been a Scout for over ten years. I have attended First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley (FPCB) for my entire life since I was baptized sixteen years ago and confirmed just this past year. One of the requirements to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout is to perform a project to benefit my community. I chose FPCB as my beneficiary since it has been a big part of my life, and I want to give back to the church and congregation. For my project, I am building a set of twelve Adirondack chairs that will populate the church plaza and create a more comfortable and inviting space for people to socialize and build community together. I will use the money I raise to pay for supplies and materials, namely the 300+ board feet of African Sapele Mahogany hardwood with which I will construct the chairs and different lengths of screws and carriage bolts, transparent wood protector, and other tools. Any excess funds will go directly to the church for future use.
Thank you!
