My name is Drew Smith, I’m a aspiring Eagle Scout in Troop 350 in Brighton, MI. My project will be a Flag Retirement Dropbox at the Brighton District Library. This project will provide a way for anyone to properly and respectfully retire their American flags that are no longer fit to be flown. The dropbox will be accompanied by an educational sign, teaching the history and importance of respecting our nation's flag. Any funds raised beyond the project's goals will be donated directly to the Brighton District Library to support their programs.
