Hi everyone!! I am excited to announce that my Eagle Project has been approved to begin planning. My goal is to lead a group of volunteers in creating and delivering 26 care packages to kids and teenagers who have been affected by war and flown into America. They are here to receive medical treatment for their injuries, for example, working on getting them fitted with prosthetic limbs or performing needed surgery.

These kids often fly into the country all by themselves and could be experiencing a major culture shock and stress, since factors like war, bombing, gun violence, and lack of essentials like food and shelter often leads to so many terrible losses for them at such a young age. These often include their family members, friends, pets, and homes, and it's very likely that they have never been to other countries before. I would like to work with other troop members and friends to help them feel more comfortable and welcomed despite their circumstances.

I plan for the packages to include colorful handmade crafts like kandi, greeting cards, and origami, as well as maybe some sweets or something small and portable like a stuffed toy. I hope to raise enough funds to buy materials, provide lunch and snacks for volunteers, perhaps rent a room if needed, and ship off all of the packages. Since the kids often leave the country after treatment, I would also like to start on my project as soon as possible in early February 2025. I hope you consider donating and thank you for your time!
