Eagle Project at Turtle Rock Nature Center

Hello! My name is Jayden Wan and I’m a Life Scout from Troop 616, Irvine. I’m currently working on my Eagle Project for Turtle Rock Nature Center, which is a five-acre nature preserve located at the base of the San Joaquin Hills in the City of Irvine and serves as a home for wildlife and an outdoor classroom where visitors can learn to protect our natural environment. For my project, I’ll be building six vegetable garden covers for the nature center’s children's program where kids are able to engage in planting and other various outdoor activities. These covers will prevent animals and insects from eating the plants that the children have planted and will also help ensure successful growing seasons.
