Eagle Project at Pine Knot

Donation protected
My name is Johnathan Walcutt, and I am currently a  Life scout in Troop 174 in Greene County Virginia. I am now working on reaching the rank of Eagle Scout and to do so I needed to seek out a worthwhile eagle project and then write up a proposal for it, get approval to proceed, raise funds, buy the materials, coordinate and direct tasks, and complete the project to the satisfaction of the beneficiary. For my project I have chosen and been approved to map out five trails and build a kiosk to hold the map at a place called Pine Knot.
Pine Knot was originally planned to be a regular old farm house until a woman named Edith Roosevelt purchased it, and the surrounding ten acres of land for her husband, Theodore Roosevelt, the President of the United States at the time. The house itself was kept very rustic so that Theodore Roosevelt could get back to the simpler things, like strolling through the woods while watching and recording the birds. To keep it as a getaway from the crowded streets of D.C., he only allowed himself and his family on the property, not even the Secret Service was allowed to go with him. At Pine Knot today, you can take a tour through the house that the President loved to stay at and take a stroll through the five trails on the property. The only problem is that there is no real map of the trails and nowhere to put that map, hence the eagle project. The twenty-five hundred dollar goal for the project is to pay for the materials for the kiosk,  examples of those materials are four 6x6's, 3/4" marine grade plywood, and a copper roof. Also the money will pay for the printing of a map of the trails, any experienced labor that's required for the copper roofing,  and the refreshments for the people who will help with the completion of the project.
Hopefully, if more money is raised than is needed, then that money will be given to the Edith and Theodore Roosevelt Pine Knot foundation to help keep the place up and running for many years to come. Many thanks for any help you can provide and please put Pine Knot on your list of places to visit.
