Eagle Project at Northminster Church & Preschool

Hi, my name is Tyler Moyers. I am a Boy Scout in Troop 260 in Clairemont, San Diego. I have been in scouting since 1st grade and I have always dreamed about earning the rank of Eagle Scout. I have one step left to achieve that goal: the community service project.

With your help, I can finally complete this rank that I have been working towards for 10 years now. Would you please consider contributing to my fundraiser to help pay for the materials to complete my Eagle Project?

I've chosen both Northminster Church and Preschool as the beneficiaries of my project. I went to Preschool at Northminster and attended Sunday School at the Church when I was younger. Now I would like to give back to both of these organizations.

The Church's Pastor would like a new cabinet in the Church's Youth Room to organize their supplies and make it less cluttered. They use this room for Sunday school and a variety of other youth programs and community outreach projects. This is how it currently looks:

There is already a TV cabinet in the Youth Room, I will use its design as a template for the supply cabinet.

Here is the design for the cabinet.

The preschool would love a new bench for their 2-year-old students. When waiting for their parents to pick them up, the kids sit on little plastic chairs that can tip over too easily. A bench would be a much safer option.

They would like the bench to match their existing picnic tables.

The total cost for the project is around $1,200. This includes the materials to complete the project and a few dollars left over for food and drinks for the volunteers.  Additionally, I plan to ask Home Depot and Dixieline for material donations. All unused funds will be donated to the Church and Preschool.
