Chemo Care Bags

When my Mom was first diagnosed with breast cancer, and she started her chemo treatments, we didn’t know what to expect. On her first day, we saw the other patients with their chemo bags… Tote bags filled with essentials for the long mornings of receiving treatment. Little things that make the day easier and the time pass a little faster.
When I lost my Mom, I got the idea to put together care bags for new chemo patients. A little something to get them started. After a few years of not being able to make it come together on my own, I lucked into some help! At a radio station event at a local Cricket Wireless store. I met the store owner, Rebecca. I told her the idea, and instantly Rebecca and her husband got to work collecting the supplies we would need to put the bags together! They have been nothing short of amazing! We have managed to put together our first round of bags, and we have reached out to AdventHealth to help us pair up with patients in need.
The last thing I am hoping to add to every bag is a small tablet. Something to watch movies, read, or play games on to help pass the time. I bought as many as I could to get started. I have had a few people ask if they could send me a little money to help get more tablets. This is the easiest way to do that. We will continue to build the bags and I will keep adding tablets where I can, but if you would like to help it would be so appreciated! Every little bit would help, it doesn’t have to be enough to buy a tablet. I will pool it together along with what I can add, and buy as many as I can. For reference, I found a great sale on the last round I bought, and I got them for $40 each!
