Will Otte's Eagle Scout Project
Donation protected
Hello, everyone! I have been working toward the rank of Eagle Scout for several years and am excited to be so close the completion of my Eagle Scout journey. I am happy to announce that my Eagle Scout project beneficiary will be First United Methodist Church Richardson. This church community has helped me so much over the years, and I can’t wait to give back to them through this project.
Specifically, I will be working to transform a neglected, overgrown outdoor area adjacent to an existing building into a usable fenced storage space for FUMCR's Woodworking Ministry, the Sawdust Brothers. The secure site will also be available to the church and the neighboring YMCA for storage of sports equipment. The project entails preparing the space by taking down an en existing dilapidated fence, clearing out the overgrowth and constructing a new, secure fence.
That being said, the work that I will be doing is not cheap, and I would greatly appreciate donations of any amount. All funds will be used to purchase the materials, tools, and supplies necessary for my project. Any money not used for completion of the project will be donated to FUMCR. No amount is too small, and every penny helps!
I am planning to begin Phase One (demolition and clean up of existing area) on August 29 and finish the project Labor Day weekend. If you would like to make a donation toward my Eagle Scout project, I would be really grateful. I have appreciated the encouragement of my family, fellow Scouts, Scout leaders and community on the road to earning the rank of Eagle, and I want to thank you for your ongoing support. It means so much to me!
