Assalam Alykum Warahmatullah Wabarakatuh my brothers and sisters.

The last ten days of Ramadan hold immense spiritual significance for Muslims. These final days are not only an opportunity to intensify acts of worship but also a chance to seek the blessings and mercy of Allah during a time when the doors of forgiveness are wide open. Among these last ten days, one night stands out in particular: Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Decree, which is considered the holiest night of the entire year. The Quran describes it as a night “better than a thousand months” (Surah Al-Qadr, 97:3). The rewards and blessings of worship on this night are immeasurable, and it is a time when Allah’s mercy, forgiveness, and decrees for the year ahead are sealed. It is during these final ten days that Muslims strive to increase their devotion, make more sincere supplications, and engage in acts of charity. The importance of giving to those in need, particularly orphans, is especially emphasized during this time. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “The one who cares for an orphan and I will be like this in Paradise,” and he indicated with his two fingers, pointing to the middle and index finger (Sahih Bukhari). Supporting orphans—providing for their needs, ensuring their education, and offering emotional support—is an act that brings great reward, especially during the blessed days and nights of Ramadan. For those of us looking for ways to maximize the rewards of the remaining days of Ramadan, donating to orphans is not just a charity, but an investment in both this world and the Hereafter. It is a chance to show mercy and kindness, reflecting the mercy that Allah has shown to us. And with the proximity of Laylatul Qadr, the rewards for such deeds are multiplied exponentially. Let us seize the opportunity of these blessed days to give with sincerity, knowing that in doing so, we are drawing closer to Allah and earning rewards that will continue to benefit us long after Ramadan has ended. May Allah accept all our efforts, forgive our shortcomings, and grant us success in this life and the next.
