Ryder has a rare congenital heart defect. This defect is called L Transposition of the Great Arteries. This essentially means that his left and right ventricles are swapped around. Normally your left ventricle pumps the blood to your body whereas your right ventricle pumps the blood to your lungs. Unfortunately Ryders does the opposite so this means his heart is working overtime to pump blood to his body. This could potentially result in heart failure, however who knows when that could happen, he had his first open heart surgery yesterday where they placed a pulmonary band to train his left ventricle to be able to handle the double switch that he needs to have done. As of right now they are trying to keep him comfortable, mom and dad both have been by his side since his surgery and is unknown when they can return to work. Living expensive are adding up pretty quickly without any income coming in. If you are able we ask if you can help in anyway you can. We greatly appreciate it
