Support one of our own

In the early hours of Saturday morning one of our own, Winemaker Bobby Wallace of Paul Wallace / Off the Record Wines was violated in his rural farm house in Elgin, by 4 assailants.

Despite putting up a fight he was brutally attacked and bludgeoned several times on the head, eventually knocking him out and tying him up. He was robbed and left to bleed. He came to, contacted his parents and was rushed to hospital, Nicky and Paul by his side. After CT scans and many stitches he is on the road to recovery. As of Sunday he’s back home and in decent spirits, but still shaken up as you can imagine.

While this is an isolated incident it’s very much not the news I want to share with anyone! But it could've been so much worse. Police have an idea who these guys are, Bobs thinks they are Angolan from their accents..

Funnily enough he was woken by a WhatsApp I had sent him, to order more Little Flirt (!) on the next shipment.. and then he heard someone trying to break his door down.

I'll keep you posted on his recovery but in the meantime I thought I would start this fundraiser to help replace some of the stuff that was stolen, including his phone, computers, TV and cash. Nobody deserves to go through this kind of thing and I hate that one of the most kindest hearted people I know had to. Anything helps if you can spare a few dollars. As I cannot send funds directly to Bobs (Gofundme doesn’t allow transfers to SA) I will send funds privately. He doesn’t know about this effort and probably wouldn’t approve but I feel compelled to help him. Thanks for reading this, I appreciate your time. Cheers
