If Armani Mondragon has touched your life in any way, you are well aware of what a selfless, honest and humble person she is. I know of no one as devoted to the care of animals in need. She has devoted herself very quietly to rescuing dogs who no one else will ... spending continual and non-ending hours anguishing over their fate and reaching out far and wide to anyone who will listen, and lend a hand. Armani, through her benevolent Bravedogs Advocacy rescue, is an almost-invisible blessing to our animal community in the South Bay and beyond. She seeks no attention, no applause, no acknowledgement. What she has committed her life to has everything to do with the animals, with whom she has a very strong connection. Armani is an animal person first and foremost, with one notable exception: her beautiful daughter, Dylyn, for whom this fundraising effort is created.

Dylyn is an inherently empathetic soul… Her passion for animals led her to intern at an animal hospital while still in high school. She quickly impressed the staff and the owner with her drive and dedication, and was hired shortly thereafter, working full time while furthering her education to become an RVT. For several years now, she has dedicated herself to the care of animals… including every rescue dog that has come into her mother's home.

But now Dylyn is the one in urgent need of help. She is selfless, compassionate, funny, and inspiring as she faces the challenge of having been diagnosed with a high grade sarcoma at only 29 years old. Even on the days when pain keeps her housebound and relegated to her bed, she has a smile for everyone who loves her.

Yet, they are faced with several challenges: loss of income; her day-to-day care; groceries/nutritious diet; cost of pain relief & management; and, though she is currently in a holding pattern in regard to treatment, Dylyn will most likely be facing chemotherapy. Armani travels the two-hour roundtrip to be with her daughter Monday through Friday, to lend companionship and comfort and tend to Dylyn's diet with homemade meals. Dylyn's fiancé—they became engaged December 2020 ❤️ and rent a home together—is steadfast and now the sole income earner.

We intend to be there for Dylyn every step of the way… and every donation helps secure this promise to a beautiful light that shines so bright in this world.
