Help the children and families of the St Irene’s daycare centre and support our Kilimanjaro challenge for The Nasio Trust

We are excited to share that we, Dylan and Toby, are hoping to raise as much money as possible for The Nasio Trust. We are volunteering in Kenya to see first hand how the money raised is used. We are also taking on the incredible challenge of climbing mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise awareness.

100% of all donations will go directly to the charity, as we are funding the costs of the entire trip ourselves. Don’t worry you aren’t donating for us to have a holiday! This means your support, no matter how big or small, will directly benefit the children, families and communities in Kenya and Tanzania .

Our volunteering experience will be at the St Irene’s Daycare Centre in Kakamega Couny, Kenya. Our time here will be spent directly helping with various community-driven initiatives. We will be building homes, planting trees, conserving wildlife and animals, working alongside social work teams, teaching, playing with the children at the daycare, and assisting families, by standing with them and helping with their daily chores and tasks. We’ll have the chance to witness and contribute first hand to the positive impact that donations like yours are making.

But that’s not all. We thought we would make it harder for ourselves. We are also taking on the incredible challenge of climbing Mountain Kilimanjaro, the world’s tallest free standing mountain, and one of the iconic 7 mountains. Over the 7 day trek, we will be climbing for hours each day, facing some of the toughest conditions like -30° weather We will be pushing ourselves physically and mentally to raise awareness for The Nasio Trust, a truly incredible charity.

With limited climbing experience, and a few health challenges, this will be a monumental task for us both, but it is a challenge we are fully committed to, and would love your help to raise as much money and awareness as we can.

This nearly 3 week journey is something we’ve dreamt about for over 10 years, but with some health concerns, and a couple global pandemics getting in the way, we are finally doing it this August-September 2025!

The Nasio Trust provides life-changing support for orphaned and disadvantaged children in western Kenya, an area deeply affected by HIV. They run two purpose-built pre-schools and a medical centre, as well as supporting children into adulthood by helping them reach their full potential. The Trust also works with the local community to create sustainable income-generating projects to empower families, break the cycle of poverty, and bring lasting change to the region.

Every penny donated will go directly to The Nasio Trust to continue their incredible work, and we’ll be there to see how the funds are used and the difference they make.
