Hi, my name is Kathleen and I am trying to raise some funds to help my mum purchase a new car. My mother is one of the most hardworking people you will ever meet, and she has given all of herself to everyone, helping whoever she can even when she has nothing left to give. It is my hope to be able to pay back her love and kindness in a way that will alleviate her weariness and bring her joy.

A few months ago her car gave out, and she’s been walking or taking a bus to and from work, the youngest child’s school, and any where else she may need to go. We had hoped that we would hear good news about fixing the car soon so she would be able to start driving again, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. Instead, we were told that the engine needed to be completely replaced. An unaffordable, $6000 fix that wasn’t worth doing.

Now my family is faced with the daunting tasks of saving to get a new car. My mum doesn’t know that I’m making this, as she has always been one to work herself to the bone to get where she needs to be. However, I will not standby and watch the woman who raised me do so without at least trying to do something about it.

I understand that this time in everyone’s life is tough. The world isn’t in the greatest place right now, and money can be hard to come by. I humbly ask that if you are willing and able, please donate whatever you’d like. If you cannot, I appreciate you even taking the time to give us a chance. My siblings and I will also continue to save funds on our own, but we are entirely grateful for anyone who wishes to join us in our fundraising goal.
