This is my Brother, Tim Cooper. On February 19, 2025 his house caught fire. This was not only his home but also his 2 teenage children and our Dad. The damage was so bad that the house is now uninhabitable. He was renting to own the house and called it home for the past 10 years. Unfortunately he didn’t have renters insurance so nothing in the house was covered. Seeing that he only owes $60000 left on it, he is going to have it repaired by paying the deductible on the property insurance. This means that for the next 6-9 months he will have to rent another house and also pay the mortgage on his home. My Brother is the type that he doesn’t want to burden anyone and it’s hard for him to ask for help, which is why I am asking. If you don’t know my Brother, then let me tell you about the Man that he is. He served in the Army for 11 years before being medically retired. After coming home he now does things to help other folks. He volunteered with an organization that helps with disaster cleanup and has helped with 2 hurricanes, tornado and floods in other States. Locally, he has organized several projects that benefited local organizations and nursing homes. Overall he is just a good person with a huge heart. The house that burnt wasn’t just a home, it was a safe haven for those that needed a place to lay their head until they could get back on their feet, his saying to them was when you leave here you will be better than when you came. The money raised from this will help him in a few ways, to pay the deductible, to help with a down payment and first month’s rent when he finds a place.
