Hey, everyone. I guess by now you all realize God has put it on our hearts to help people. We asked for help with the hurricane and you guys showed out! I know you see these all the time but if you know me from childhood, please take look at this. As many of you know I have a younger sister. Crystal was a staple at church camp and youth group activities right there with big brother. We loved to sing and we make cassette tapes of our goofy singing. She was going into her Sophomore year when I graduated and left for SAU. I miss those days. Crystal went on after high school to have a battle with drugs that lasted well over 20 years. I spoke to her probably 10 times in that period and probably 5 years with no contact. 2 years ago she got help. Struggled, graduated a program, started working, got her own place, needed transportation and bought a motorcycle. She was in her way to get her 2 year sobriety chip and someone pulled out in front of her and she hit the car. She is going to be ok, but she did fracture her back and hip. She also broke her wrist. She goes to the doctor in the 18th to see if she can start walking again. She thinks she is gonna hop right back to work but I think she is being very optimistic. Her medical bills are covered... that's a blessing. But she waits tables and can't walk. She has a month or two here that is going to be very rough with no income. This is where we come in. If lindsay and I could, we would just cut her a check... we sent what we could and I'd like to ask all of her old friends, our old friends too see if they can help her in this time. Mostly, I wanted to let everyone know how good she is doing! She came to our family reunion this summer and we sang together for the first time in 25 years. It's nice to have my sister back, but she has a long road.
