Starting a gofundme is something my mother would never do. She was raised, and has raised me and my brother to give all that we have and all that we are to others, however, there has never been a time where we have needed to be on the receiving end of that giving. Our current living situation includes an abusive bipolar ex-husband (whom i refuse to call my step-dad) and unfortunately we cannot afford to leave. My mother has a nice job, but it doesn’t quite pay as well as it should. I am partially disabled but doordash when my body allows me to, and my autistic brother hasn’t really left his room for a few months. With this, we cannot afford to put a payment down on a new place. Due to the situation and lack of options, I have taken it upon myself to ask on our behalf for financial assistance. Genuinely, anything helps, and I appreciate you for even taking the time to read this.
I can’t realistically prove to you that everything I said is true, but I can tell you that my mom, despite everything we are going through, despite it meaning she wasn’t able to celebrate her birthday, took an entire week off of work last week to help a friend of hers get into a rehab center for their alcohol issues. My mom is a giver, and always has been, for better or for worse. She has provided for me and my brother no matter the circumstances and I cannot appreciate her enough for it. No matter what happens to us, I’ll always be thankful for my mom and what she has done for us. Thank you mom, I love you ❤️
