Support Duttsy's Children - Jasper & Fynn

The Margaret River Community lost our very much loved, classic character, Duttsy - John Dutton - in a tragic accident in Bali at age 49. 

 

Dutts loved his children Jasper, 10, and Fynn, 7, with his entire heart and having been an orphan himself, it is beyond tragic that his beautiful kids will grow up without their loving dad.

 

In the words of Vans, their mother and Duttsy's good friend:

"Unreliable, irresponsible, IRREPLACEABLE, completely and whole heartedly LOVED.

Duttsy held a special place in so many different people's hearts. He was an orphan, a lovable larrikin with a big and inclusive heart who championed the underdog. He loved to have a beer with his mates, to surf, to fish, play music and to be with his kids. In the end he was my friend and a truly beloved member of my family. His children Jasper, 10, and Fynn, 7, were loved by him unconditionally and loved him unconditionally in return and it is this that breaks my heart the most that they will grow up without this great man, their dad."

 

Vans, and the kids are utterly broken and devastated right now. Vans is an incredibly strong woman with a very supportive family and community around her. But ultimately, that responsibility to care for and support the kids rests with her now, and Fynn may need care and financial support for her entire life.

 

So for everyone far and wide that had a laugh, fish, beer, board repair or wave with him, let's pitch in to simply help his kids have the life that Duttsy would have wanted to give them. It will make a huge difference to bring a smile back on their face at some point in the future, and is a great way to show Duttsy how much we loved him and will miss him.
