Dunlop & Lugton Winter Lighting

WE'VE DONE IT! We have successfully raised the initial funds to install 30 lampposts with braided Winter lighting. Our fundraising efforts will continue for future maintenance and energy costs. You will start to see the lights going up towards the end of November, and you are all invited to Dunlop Kirk's Christingle Service on Monday, 28th November, to celebrate the start of advent.

Hi, my name is Ruth - a resident of Dunlop for over 30 years, with a passion for Christmas & all things community. As a Dunlop & Lugton Community Council member, we are fundraising to install permanent Winter lighting throughout the villages of Dunlop & Lugton, in East Ayrshire. We require a minimum of £20,000+ to create an effective & impactful street light display. We have secured £10,000 of this from the National Lottery Awards For All Grant. An anonymous donor has also agreed to match fund every £1 donated after we reach £15,000 in total; making our community target £7,500.

With your donation, we can brighten our local area during the dark, cold months. We aim to benefit the residents and encourage people to #VisitDunlop. Installing permanent fixtures will save long-term infrastructure costs and allow the benefits to be felt for many years throughout the Winter months.
