Dumfries ProjectSEARCH Walking Challenge

Whilst the country is on lockdown and our hard-working interns are unable to attend their usual work experience placements they have decided that they would like to make a positive impact on two local, deserving causes whilst also improving their physical and mental health.

The 12 interns of DFN ProjectSEARCH Dumfries and Galloway are setting up and running this fundraiser and Facebook page, as well as embarking on over 3,700 miles of steps to get to the ProjectSEARCH World HQ in Cincinnati, Ohio. Learning and developing some fantastic transferable skills all the while.

The interns researched, presented and voted on the two causes they would like to split any money raised between; Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary's Intensive Care Unit and the Calside Primary Sensory Garden and Playground. We are honoured that both are onboard with this challenge and are allowing us to put our name to their fantastic work.
