Dub’s- One last chance
Dub’s St. John’s, Dub and I, are humbly asking for one last round of help. The pandemic has hit us hard. I’ve been staying open for take out, every evening, to keep the Community fed. Since we are known as a comfort food restaurant, it seems like my duty during this scary yet boring time, to feed you guys!! Just yesterday, my friend was driving me to work and I was talking to her about how the money coming in was barely covering groceries over the past two months. Rent crept up on me. I feel like I should tell you that if you’re able to help us one more time, we won’t ask again. Once it’s safe to reopen, my plan is to continue with Community fundraisers to give back even more!
It’s very scary for me to ask for help again. I suppose it’s because we are just a restaurant. But my friend told me that we’re more than a restaurant. That we give back and help people as much as possible. That convinced me to ask for help one more time. I’ve always wanted to be a helper in a Community. I found a way to finally do that. That’s why I’m asking. That’s why I’m here every day. To continue to fight for Dub’s so we can help others fight. We’re now in survival mode. For the restaurant and for home. I think the only way to survive though, is to reach
out to you all.
Sorry for the lengthiness of this story. I just felt I
needed to explain why I need help again. I’ve had a gut wrenching feeling in my stomach, for the past few days, just wondering what to do and how to ask.
Oh! And just so you know, we’ve received zero help from the government. Our Community has been our saving grace. We KNEW we loved you guys!! We are so, very grateful. ❤️❤️
