Hello all, unfortunately Duane Dowler lost his battle on 4/5/23, with the devil himself, Cancer! He was diagnosed with an extremely aggressive form of cancer in February. It started in his esophagus and had already spread to his lymph nodes. I think we all knew he was fighting an uphill battle, but he left us far far too soon.
Duane had a lot to fight for, as he was engaged to marry the love of his life, Cassie. They have an awesome son, Liam, that will be turning 2 in June. Cassie also has a son, Michael, that Duane loved as if he were his own.
Duane was one of the best guys I’ve ever known, and has been one of my closest friends for quite some time now. I was so looking forward to watching him become the awesome dad he was going to be. I think everyone that knew Big D, would agree, the world was a better place with him in it.
Please donate anything you can to help Duane’s family as they try to move forward without Big D!
There is going be a Memorial Benefit at Half Moon Saloon here in MV on April 15th. I'm being told that the parking lot will be used for a Cornhole Tournament. Additionally, there will be $10 tickets available for an opportunity to win a set of Indiana Hoosiers Cornhole Boards made by, Steve Zink.
