Dear Friends,
I’m starting this fundraising effort to help Leti regain her rightful status as an equal parent to her dear son Kai.
Two years ago, Leti lost a court battle with Kai’s father and his highly paid legal team, over her right to equally share in the physical custody, and legal right as a parent of her own son.
Since that time, the father has repeatedly shown no consideration or intention of allowing Leti to share equally in the raising of her son—contrary to what he promised me verbally at the time of the hearing.
I have witnessed firsthand, how Leti has succeeded in doing the hard work needed to try to turn this situation around. She knows, as you all would agree, that what is best for a child is to have equal time with BOTH parents—especially with a mother as loving and caring as Leti.
Every day she does whatever is necessary just to be able to squeeze out any opportunity she can, to try to continue parenting Kai as much as his father deems allowable.
She volunteers at his school, attends every extra-curricular event, and of course, never says no when the father needs a babysitter.
In addition, she struggles to advocate for Kai’s wellbeing--as much as she’s allowed to--in regard to his physical, nutritional, emotional needs, and overall health. This should not be a struggle. Spending equal time with your own child, having an equal say in his care and upbringing, should NOT be a struggle.
This situation is unbearable for me to watch, I can’t even imagine the pain and anguish this is causing both Leti and Kai.
The time has come to try to right this wrong. I’m asking for your generous help and support to raise the funds to cover the legal fees needed in order to regain her equal parenting rights.
She has a very good case. She’s done, and continues to do, the hard work. All she needs now, are the funds to get there.
Please help. Any and all donations are humbly accepted and deeply appreciated.
This is a private fundraiser. Please don’t post this on social media.
Feel free to share via email with any close friends who might be able to discreetly help.
Thank you very much.
Nancy Saiz
