Hi, my name is Emily and I am currently on my gap year. I am fundraising for a 5 month trip with YWAM (Youth With A Mission), where I will be spending 12 weeks on the sunshine coast doing a Discipleship Training Scheme, which involves learning more about God through the bible and growing in my faith, followed by an 8 week cross-cultural outreach phase to a third world country, the location of which is determined once I am in Australia. This will involve community action, teaching God's word in local schools and taking part in community development and evangelism, all with the aim of sharing the gospel with people who may have never head it before. All of this work is completely voluntary, and I hope it will be an opportunity to grow in my faith, hear God more and improve confidence to serve and tell others about Jesus.
