Hi, my son, his wife, 88 year old mother-in-law and her dog just moved to Englewood, FL a week before the hurricane hit. He was in the process of getting home insurance but bc the hurricane came so swiftly he was never able to get it as they had to evacuate. They have been staying in hotels since Monday 9/26 when they evacuated. He has since seen his house and there is extensive damage. His lanai and all his belongings in it are totally destroyed. His back porch where his washer and dryer were is also gone and there is some damage to his roof and many trees are down. There is also a lot of debris all over his property that needs to be removed and now he has to pay for everything to be cleared away and rebuilt. He also lost a shed where he stored many storage boxes that weren't unpacked yet. He started a new job but that place is in North Port also in Sarasota County and heavily damaged. What was supposed to be a new beginning for them away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando has turned into a nightmare.
